Back in August, 2,300 people attended the second edition of the chicest, pop-up, all-white affair in Baltimore. Diner en Blanc Baltimore had over 60 dedicated workers who gave their time and talents to help make this event happen. They worked tirelessly to ensure their attendees were well prepared for this once-in-a-lifetime event, and helped to make Charm City shine on Thursday, August 30th. For the second year in a row, we were asked to be the official photographers for this event and we could not have been more thrilled!
Those who have been to this event know how much fun it can be trying to figure out exactly what they have planned. Their planning team is so good that we didn’t even know all of the details before hand and half the fun is exploring and documenting the event as it unravels before guests eyes. Every year is different and every year they seem to outdo themselves. This year they had a second line band march through the streets of fells point leading guests to the secret location. They also had water taxis bringing guests to this undisclosed location. (Insider tip: you can be cute but bring your walking shoes just in case).
When guests arrived at the secret location, they were greeted with live performances and picture perfect selfie stations everywhere you turned. We loved all of the Paris-themed props that were present this year. Their was an Eiffel Tower, Arc de triumph and some light fixtures that reminded us of the ones right outside of the Louvre...ahh this Diner em Blanc night really made us miss our time in Paris! The guests quickly unfolded and designed their tables so they could get ready for the big napkin wave before dinner. The night ran so smoothly and as usual everyone complimented each other on their outfits, dinner selection and table designs as we were there to photograph it "Did you photograph our table yet? Please do it again!" After dinner, the DJ lured guests to come dance around the live-band stage. Most guests went over to Rave by the stage while some stayed back and went to the hidden silent disco.
Needless to say, there was something for everyone at this event. It was very though out and very well executed. We heard nothing but positive remarks from the guests and how they couldn’t wait for next year! We cant wait to see what they have planned for next year!
This was our 2nd time being the official photographers for Diner en Blanc and it is truly humbling experience to serve this magnitude of people in our favorite city! You can read about our first experience with Diner en Blanc HERE.
Now time to acknowledge some of the people who made this event possible and as fantastic as it was…
