Recently, we had the privilege of photographing Fantasia and her beautiful family at Sherwood Gardens in Baltimore, Maryland, and it was one of those sessions that reminded us why we love family-centered maternity photography so much.
A Love That Was Already Growing
From the moment we arrived, one thing was abundantly clear.
This family is incredibly rich in love.
Fantasia shared that one of the most important things she wanted these photographs to communicate wasn't simply that she was expecting another child—it was how deeply connected her family already is. The laughter between her and her husband, the excitement in their young son's eyes, and the quiet moments they shared together painted a beautiful picture of a family whose greatest strength is each other.
Love is their anchor.

Why We Love Including the Entire Family
Of course, we always take time to celebrate the expectant mother. Pregnancy is an incredible season that deserves to be documented and honored.But we also believe it's just as important to photograph the people walking beside her.
Partners experience this journey, too. Older siblings are preparing for one of the biggest transitions of their young lives. Together, they are all becoming something new—a growing family.
Some of our favorite images from this session weren't focused on the baby bump at all. They were centered on the relationship between Fantasia and her husband—the foundation upon which this next chapter is being built.
Because one day, this baby will look back at these photographs and see not only how excited everyone was to meet them, but how deeply their parents loved one another before they even arrived.
A Little Extra Joy Behind the Scenes
One of our favorite memories from the afternoon happened behind the camera.Our own daughter came along to the session and spent time playing with Fantasia's son while Garrett and I photographed Mom and Dad together.
It was one of those simple moments that made the session feel even more special.Not only did it give Fantasia and her husband a chance to reconnect in front of the camera, but it reminded us that photography is about creating an experience—not just taking pictures.
A Legacy Worth Preserving
Maternity sessions aren't simply about documenting pregnancy. They're about preserving the love, anticipation, and relationships that already exist before a new life enters the world.
