One of the hardest things to do when planning a family session is finding the best location.
We hear it all the time. Especially with parents of little ones and I know it must sound like a cop-out answer but when we’re asked we always suggest doing your session at home. Especially now, with the pandemic, Home is actually one of the best places to do it.
Here’s Why…
It’s Familiar. Everyone feels more comfortable in a place that is familiar to them (that’s right, not just the kids). You feel like you can be yourself at home and you don’t have to worry about any strangers making you feel awkward from afar. It’s just you guys. And with out the extra distractions, it makes your photos feel even more authentic.
It’s Warm. The weather dropped quick around here! With so many indoor locations prohibiting indoor photo sessions (for good reason) a lot of our sessions this season have been outside. Outside this time of year is beautiful but it’s now officially COLD! Kiara and Patrick got lucky with their session because we still had some warmth outside. So they did half of their session inside and half outside.
It’s Safe. We don’t even have to explain this one lol but just for the blogs sake… you’re safer when there are less people around. We will have our masks on when we’re shooting you but any outside sources we can’t control are always a risk. That’s why doing it at your home eliminates that risk and we all can feel confident that we’re staying safe.
