Today, We’re celebrating one year of Parenthood
and we wanted to share some of the photos from the first 48 hours of Parenthood starting on 6.26.19.
We’ve never been more tired and excited in our entire life than at this moment and where things didn’t go as planned it was the most magical time I can remember. Bailey was bon at 7:18am on Wednesday morning and was instantly surrounded by love and joy.
We quickly identified her as God’s answer to many questions and the filling to a void that we didn’t know we had. Her due date was actually set exactly one year after my mother was buried which made everything very emotional for me so I was actually a little relieved that she came 4 weeks early to help buffer the sting of that date.
We had to stay in NICU for a week but after that they sent us home with 4 pound baby and it’s been a wild ride ever since. We named her after my mother and her middle name is a reflection of Garrett’s grandmother and I see so much of them in her everyday.
I’m rushing to write this blog now because I really want to go spend my time with her and Garrett (they’re playing right behind me) but I’ll be sure to add more details later.
