This year the fellas have really stepped up the tradition of marriage proposals. We’ve been lucky enough to be a small part of the creative process for a few couples this year and now we want to share some tips to anyone looking to have an unforgettable marriage proposal experience.
1. Above All, Make it Romantic
Even if you’re not the romantic type (Especially if you’re not the romantic type), small romantic gestures and details will stay in her mind forever. Poetry, red rose petals, candles or a quote from your favorite movie together are a few things that will make her blush. Be romantic, but also be genuine. She’ll be able to tell you put some heart and thought into what you’re doing and will deeply appreciate that you wanted to make this moment unforgettable.
2. Find a Unique Location
Pick a location that is special to the two of you, like: where you had your first date, where you had your first kiss, a place she’s always wanted to go or one of your favorite hangout spots. If you’re going to a public establishment, let them know that you’re planning to pop the question, more than likely, they’ll be happy to help out in any way that they can.
3. Plan for her Family and Friends to be there
It’s not necessary, but if you want that extra flare of surprise- this is a pretty good tip! Have them hidden until the very moment or proposal. They can stand in the background and hold sparklers, blow bubbles, hold “Will You Marry Me?” signs, etc. Your imagination is limitless and I’m sure they would love to help out in anyway.
4. Have Some Fun
Most guys are really nervous, when it comes to proposing. Yea, it’s a big deal but chances are you have nothing to truly be worried about! Just plan for the best, get out there and enjoy the moment!
5. Have a Photographer
You had to have seen this one coming! But really, you’ll want to have photographs of this moment to look back on. Imagine flipping through a book of these images the night before your wedding day or on your first year anniversary. Let us help with those memories.
