Ah, it’s that time of year when all of our photog friends are posting all of their favorite images from the year to share with others and make statements about how great the year was but how much better the next year will be. Am I right? It’s cool, no judgement because we’ve been doing it too (every year). This year, we’re taking a different approach to make it a little more fun. Here we go,
In 2018…
How many nipples have we edited out of bouquet toss photos? 3 different nipples, 3 different weddings (it gets crazy out there)
How many weddings has Megan cried at? 17 Weddings this year
How many times has Megan fell at a wedding? hmmm…about 3 good times (nothing serious)
What was the worst injury that occurred at a wedding? Garrett’s appendix ruptured during a cake cutting. He had to get it removed that week. Thank God for Health Insurance!
How many lenses have we broken this year? Only 1, but it was Garrett’s favorite 50mm
How many New Cameras did we buy this year? Four! The Canon 1DX Mii, Canon 6DMii, Canon EOS-R and the Leica M10.
How many times has Garrett been hit on at a Wedding? At least 4 good times lol we’re used to it by now :)
What was your longest wedding? 16 Hours. We were basically zombies by the end of the night but we had such a great time!
How many Bridezillas have we had this year? None *praise hands* they’re just not our clients.
What’s been our guilty pleasure at Weddings? Definitely creating epic Ring Shots, Eating at least one slice of cake and sneaking off with our couples in the middle of the night for photos.
How many times has Megan & Garrett taken the same photo at the same times? Definitely more than 50 times. At least we are in two different angles.
What Songs still gets the whole Wedding Party jumping every.single.time? Juvenile’s Back That Ass Up, Flo Rida’s Low, and Usher’s Yeah! (Yes, even after all this time. These songs are guarantee Hypeness on the dance floor).
How many heart-to-heart talks have we had with our couples and their family? Actually a quite few more than expected. Souls recognize souls. Weddings bring about a lot of emotions and remind us what’s really important in life, LOVE and FAMILY. The fact that we are all connected to each other regardless of skin complexion or demographic upbringing is so apparent when your vision is clear and your heart is open. We all face similar struggles and victories and we are able to share our experience and wisdom with others is where a true connection is born. Luckily for us, we’ve found this connection in so many of our clients and families that we’ve had the pleasure of shooting this year. We wish to continue these good vibes to more individuals throughout 2019.
