I first met Cheltese in college, and even then, what stood out most was her deep love for Christ and her unwavering devotion to her husband. Fast forward more than ten years, and that truth remains beautifully unchanged. So when we reconnected to talk about documenting their 25th wedding anniversary, it felt instantly familiar — like picking up a conversation that never really ended.
As a Black husband and wife wedding photography team, moments like this remind us why we do what we do. Marriage is a bond worth honoring out loud, and milestone celebrations like vow renewals deserve to be documented with the same care and intention as a wedding day. Too often, these sacred anniversaries pass quietly, but witnessing a love rooted in faith, tested by time, and still overflowing with joy is something truly special.
Their vow renewal ceremony was deeply meaningful.
They intentionally included their children, inviting them into the legacy they’ve built together. A husband-and-wife pastoral team officiated, grounding the ceremony in shared faith and lived experience. Cheltese’s father walked her down the aisle as loved ones cheered her on, and in that moment, you could feel the strength of family and commitment. Happy tears flowed freely as they reaffirmed their vows — choosing one another again with gratitude and grace.
After the ceremony, we followed the family to the dock at Anchor Inn for timeless family portraits filled with laughter, tenderness, and pride. As Maryland wedding photographers who specialize in legacy and storytelling, these are the moments we treasure most. We also stole a few quiet moments with just the two of them before the reception began, where they shared their first dance surrounded by the people who love them most.
We had the honor of capturing both wedding photography and videography throughout the day, allowing their story to live on through still images and motion. Our approach blends photojournalistic storytelling with an editorial eye, creating imagery that feels honest, elevated, and deeply personal.
We’re so excited to share a few of our favorite moments from their celebration and hope this story inspires you to honor your own love — whether that’s a wedding, anniversary, or meaningful family milestone.
If you’re searching for experienced wedding photographers in Maryland who believe in documenting love with intention, faith, and care — or if you’re looking for a Black wedding photographer who understands the importance of legacy — we would be honored to serve you.
