Some weddings don’t need excess to feel extraordinary. Taylor and Preston’s autumn wedding was a beautiful reminder that when a couple centers what truly matters—faith, family, and community—everything else falls perfectly into place. As a Black wedding photographer in Baltimore, these are the stories we feel most honored to tell.
The day began quietly at the Courtyard Marriott at McHenry Row in downtown Baltimore. Taylor got ready surrounded by calm and familiarity, wearing her natural curls just as she loves them—soft, full, and unapologetically her. Her makeup was done by her mother, kept light and natural, a tender moment that set the tone for the day ahead. In a separate room, Preston prepared with his groomsmen while Taylor read a heartfelt letter he had written earlier that morning.
Before heading to the ceremony, Taylor shared a first look with her girls—one filled with affirmation, joy, and a few happy tears. From there, we traveled to Sailors Union Church, their home church built in 1873. The history and reverence of the space wrapped itself around the day as Taylor and Preston exchanged vows during a Christ-centered ceremony officiated by their pastor. Communion was shared, prayers were spoken, and love was felt in every corner.
After the ceremony, we captured family portraits at the altar, framed by golden organ pipes and florals—images that felt timeless, sacred, and deeply rooted in legacy. This is the heart of our work as husband and wife wedding photographers: creating imagery that honors where couples come from and where they’re going.
The celebration continued at Corradetti Glassblowing Studio & Gallery in Clipper Mill. Autumn florals warmed the space while colorful glass spheres hung overhead, reflecting light and movement throughout the evening. It’s one of our favorite venues for editorial wedding photography because it feels unmistakably Baltimore—industrial, creative, and full of character.
When Taylor and Preston entered the reception, they were met with a room full of people who love and support them wholeheartedly. The joy was effortless. The celebration was genuine. They danced, laughed, and celebrated without overdoing a single moment.
It was an honor to document this day through both photography and video, preserving a wedding that was authentic, faith-filled, and beautifully intentional. As a Baltimore wedding photography and videography team, we’re grateful to capture stories like this—stories that will live on for generations.
Love Deeply,
