I don’t get to do this often but whenever I do, it is a complete honor and pleasure. Especially when it’s someone I know! Pregnancy Announcement shoots are such a great way to tell your family and friends that your expecting your life to change in such a monumental way!
When Jenny, my former co-worker from my (former) job, reached out to tell me the news I was ecstatic and the fact that she wanted her announcement photos to include her parents and their Hanukkah traditions, well my heart was just warmed up all over!
I met her and her parents at her brand new home in Silver Spring and we talked about their future plans to welcome a new member to the family. Jenny also showed me their families collection of menorahs while sharing her families tradition with us. Her family has a whole collection that they’ve been building for decades, including her grandfathers menorah and Jenny’s very first menorah that she made herself. It’s so sweet to think that next year, she’ll be lighting her menorahs with a new baby girl or boy for the first time :) Congratulations Jenny! Can’t wait to see you again!
