A couple of months ago we shared Cesar and Anjuli’s Hindu Ceremony on the blog and gave some helpful pointers for What You NEED to Know About Hindu Ceremonies. You can view that blog here.
Today, we’re sharing the other half of their day, The Catholic Ceremony and the Multicultural Reception. Cesar’s family is Peruvian and to honor his families traditions, after their Hindu Wedding Ceremony the couple changed outfits and had a traditional Catholic Wedding Ceremony in a Chapel Setting. Anjuli changed into a classic white wedding dress while Cesar suited himself in a black tuxedo. They met each other again at the end of the aisle in the Bolger Center in front of Catholic Priest who blessed their vows and performed the cord of three strands tradition.
After the catholic ceremony, Anjuli changed back into her red and gold saree and walked with her mother to the reception where many surprises awaited her and her guests. The couple provided a spread of delicious Indian and Peruvian dishes for guests to indulge in while taking in the entertainment of the night. Guests from each side of the family got up to perform toasts for the couple and afterwards they had a Peruvian Dancer come to perform the Marinera and Anjuli and her bride tribe surprised the audience by doing a traditional Indian dance.
