I still remember all of the big things that happened that night, like the unexpected snowstorm, the chaos of a large wedding party standing still for formal photos and all of the food and drinks that were consumed way too fast! Months later when I received our wedding photo gallery, I was reminded of all of the in-between moments that swept by me on that day. I saw a glimpse of Garrett’s face when I sent a note to him at the end of the aisle and how proud his grandmother looked in the front row dressed in her best fur coat. I got to see the way my mother looked at me when I was standing at the altar and how my dad stopped us in the middle of the aisle because I forgot to fold my veil over. Seeing my bridesmaids cry behind me while I was saying my vows is something that I never physically saw on that day. Moments like those are why I hired a photojournalist. Formal group photos are great but when it comes down to my memories, the little moments are what means most to me.
These fleeting moments in my past will never happen again but thanks to my photographer they are moments that I will never forget.
