We met Shelby years ago, back in Undergrad at York College of Pennsylvania. 2 Things we knew about her for sure:
1.) She Loved Photography
2.) She Loved a guy named Jordan
We met Jordan earlier this year and could instantly see why these two were smitten with each other. The inside jokes they spoke, the loving glances they swapped and the passionate value for the art of photography that they both shared was exciting to witness. We knew we would have a great time at their wedding!
Their day started at the Grace Manor Bed and Breakfast, where the couple decided to do their first look. They then left by a vintage Ford Model T to Shiloh Baptist Church for their ceremony, where they said their vows with Game of Thrones references (yes, we caught that). Once the ceremony was over, they left the church in a Bubble send-off created by their friends and family before heading over to Cherry Lane Park for formal photos.
Shelby is a very well-known photographer in York, Pennsylvania, so we weren’t surprised at all when folks yelled “Congratulations!” from the other side of the park or from their moving vehicles. Shelby and Jordan’s reception took place at the Market View Art Gallery, where Shelby’s photography exhibition was set up. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour by discussing art, snapping selfish at the photo booth with vintage cameras and getting their picture drawn by a caricaturist. Once the Bride and Groom were announced the party really got started with choreographed dances, lip sync battles and endless appetizers.
Needless to say, we had a great time and wish we could physically relive this day, the memories live on in these photographs.
