You know we love Disney
So when we arrived for Jocelyn and Josh’s day, we were so excited to see subtle touches of our favorite Disney classics scattered throughout the day. This couple has been a joy to work with from the beginning and we were so happy to have ended on such a happy note.
Let’s take it from the top,
When we arrived at the hotel for preparation photos, we spotted celebratory cards with a Cinderella carriage on the front while the bridal party threw confetti around to celebrate Jocelyn’s big day! We headed to the Elkridge Furnace Inn and the girls slipped into beautiful princess blue off-the-shoulder dresses. The girls got ready on the top floor while Josh and the boys prepared on the second floor where they couldn’t see or hear the bridal party dancing to Powerline (from The Goofy Movie).
They didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony,
but they wanted special intimate time for just the two of them (and us, their photographer and videographer). So they agreed to do a First Touch which we did capture on video (and is sooo sweet)

Ahem… Back to the Disney Magic
We weren’t able t convince them to do a first look but we were able to pull off a first look with Dad and I believe they were both equally excited to see each other. Walking down the aisle to some familiar tunes the couple could not smiling at each other. Josh was trying to hold back tears from Jocelyn’s presence and when she finally arrived directly in front of him, he looked like he was home.
The two exchanged their handwritten vows which both included quotes from Toy Story and they included some traditional Jewish and African American rituals before they ran off into their happily ever after. Once they broke the glass the family yelled “Mazal Tov!” and the couple jumped the broom! It was beautiful seeing these two traditions done together in one ceremony.
Be Our Guest
After the Ceremony, Guests headed towards the tents for a socially distanced reception. The tables were “numbered” as Disney Characters (we sat at the Pochahantas table) while light Disney music played in the background. The couple entered the ballroom and where you could see classic disney colors, light blue, fuchsia and yellow and had their first dance. They then had a dance-off (which Jocelyn won) and the couple went around to greet their guests.
With masks on they thanked everyone for coming and spent the night loving everything that came together. Even in hard COVID times they were able to celebrate their wedding. They went to cut their cake with Wall-E and Eve on top and Jocelyn smooshed just a little on Josh before they shared one more kiss for the night. After guests had a little piece of cake the were escorted outside with magic wands to send off our couple. The guests lined up in 2 separate lines with their wands and Jocelyn and Josh held hands and ran through their guests as they shouted their Best Wishes to them.
If you’re planning a Disney inspired wedding and looking for a photographer or videography team to help capture the day. We’d love to help out. We can be reached at hello@megapixelsmedia.com.
