Like many iconic Broadway national tours, The Great Gatsby began its journey in Baltimore, Maryland at the historic Hippodrome Theatre.
Being invited to capture curtain call on one of the tour’s opening nights was more than a privilege—it was a responsibility we hold with deep respect.
Curtain call is a sacred moment in theater.
It’s where months of rehearsal meet gratitude, relief, and pride. It’s where the story ends and the artists step forward as themselves. Witnessing this cast close out one of their first performances—before heading to more than 50 cities across the country—was incredibly meaningful.
Following our experience documenting curtain call for Phantom of the Opera, it continues to be an honor to preserve these fleeting moments in theatrical history. The energy on stage was electric, full of momentum and anticipation for what’s to come.
We also had the opportunity to see the show—and it was absolutely stunning. From the performances to the production design, The Great Gatsby is immersive, bold, and unforgettable. If you have the chance to see it while it’s on tour, we cannot recommend it enough.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Whether documenting weddings, family legacies, or historic nights in theater, our work is about honoring stories as they unfold.
