Last Week, we received a phone call from a photographer friend in Hawaii. “Aloha” a friendly voice said from the other end of the line. It was David Fraser, a wedding photographer and cinematographer located in Kauai. When we first virtually met David, we fell in love with his work ethic as well as his shooting style.
“When I photograph brides and grooms I try to provide a working atmosphere that allows for natural and spontaneous photo capture. I always see the photo session as a collaboration—it's not about me saying “do this like this and stand this way.” while I do give direction my aim is to provoke the unexpected, to keep it fun, and, most of all, natural.” -David Fraser
While on the phone, we spoke of the trend of Destination Weddings and Elopements that we’ve seen couples gravitate to lately. He told us the majority of his couples come to Hawaii for their ceremony with their closest family and friends to have an authentic yet magical ceremony. He said it’s not unusual for his couples to only want a couple of hours of photography or videography coverage but like us, he is more than willing to accommodate if they would like full day coverage. We wanted to share David’s work with you to show that even away from your home state you can have an intimate ceremony with the confidence knowing that your day will be captured professionally and creatively.
Mahalo David for allowing us to feature your work here and we hope to see you soon in Kauai!
If you would like to see more of David’s work, you can see it here at Difraser.com. If you would like a collaborative wedding package with all of us, feel free to contact us here. Speak with you soon!
