Backpacking Germany | A Traveling Photographer's Blog
Earlier this year when we were in London, we joked (dreamed) about backpacking through Europe with our cameras. We had no idea that life would bring us back to that side of the world so soon but Hey! When preparation meets opportunity, dreamy things can happen :)
So we wanted to share some of our favorite stops from our time away.
I woke up early one morning, packed my backpack and drove solo to Germany. I drove through several towns (including the town where Garrett's father was born) but decided to stay and explore in Heinsberg. I only had 2 euros in my pocket so I had to find something very inexpensive to do...which come to find out is a lot of hiking. Hiking. Hiking! But nothing too bad really...just really steep but getting to the Burgberg Ruine at the top of the hill was very rewarding. Struggling with the self-timer on my camera, not so much lol
We plan on sharing some of our favorite images from each country later on. Until then, check these out and share with us where we should go next to take some more photos!
