Remember a couple weeks ago when we mentioned that one of our couples did a First Look before the ceremony. Well, Lindsey and Nick decided to do a First Look before their ceremony as well!
What is a First Look?
A first look is a coordinated meeting of the bride and groom before they walk down the aisle. It takes some of the pressure off of the couple and it also gives everyone extra time for photos before the ceremony, because who really wants to miss out on cocktail hour? The First Look is a very intimate and emotion-provoking moment shared between the couple and their bridal party (if they choose for them to be there).
For this First Look, Garrett asked Nick to look out on Susquehanna River as I led Lindsey around the Volkswagen Bus behind Nick. Garrett and I stood back to capture the magic... Lindsey reached out for his hand. Nick smiled ear to ear and slowly turned around. Lindsey blushed and Nicks jaw dropped! They instantly covered each other in hugs.
After the first look, the family/bridal party came from behind the bus and everyone exchanged hugs and began to take photos before heading to the ceremony site. Their theme was Woodstock, so naturally there were bright and colorful decor and spirits. The dresses were all tie-dye, the wild flower bouquets were grown in the Bride's mother's garden, colorful DIY hair ribbons, and to top it all off there was home-brewed beer. This was such a beautiful and relaxing wedding. They made everyone feel like they were part of the family.
We had a great time being transported back to the 60's and 70's where love, light and laughter collide. Lindsey and Nick are hippies at heart and wanted their wedding to show off their groovy style. We can't say enough about this union and all of the people involved.
