Ahhhh It’s that time of year…

Right after Halloween and Before Christmas is that wonderful time of year where Harry Potter marathons are flooding households. We decided to do our part this year by sharing Charlene and Roberts Wedding Harry Potter themed Wedding here on the blog. We had the pleasure of shooting photography and videography at this wedding.

Charlene and I (Megan) go way back and I’m so happy to have friends like this who share geeky tendencies like this. We loved all of the Harry Potter details at their wedding like Quidditch seating tags, Wands for guests and even magical floating candles at the reception; but what we loved most was how their friends and family supported the two throughout the day. True friendship is always a reoccurring theme in Harry Potter and we love how even that was reflected in their day.

Everyone met at the Hampton Inn in the beginning of the day to get ready. They then took a limo over to Charlene’s childhood church where the two were wed and then the crew moved to Martin’s West for the reception. The Wedding Party introduced the newlyweds by waving wands in the air as a fog machine blew magical smoke. Charlene and Rob did not let the excitement die down there, they floated on the dance floor as they did their first dance before inviting their guests to eat dinner and dance the night away.

You’ll also notice influence of Star Wars throughout the day as well. Rob is a huge fan and decided he wanted to incorporate that into the day as well. He nighted all of his groomsmen with Light sabers so while all the women had wands his men had light sabers. How cool!
