We’ve shot at Cylburn Arboretum in Baltimore, Maryland for almost 10 years now but this was the first time my husband and I photographed couples inside of the Mansion thanks to Kirstyn and Yves.

Inside of the Mansion was nice but the way Kirstyn and Yves showed up was definitely the selling point for us! Yves wore a classic black tux and Kirstyn wore a stunning silky emerald green gown. They both popped against the Victorian Renaissance Revival design of the 1800’s Mansion. We took advantage of the Parlor Room while we were shooting because of the natural light that was pouring in at the time was absolutely beautiful. It was a dreary February day outside but indoors with the mansion’s tall windows, we made some beautiful art. We mostly used Natural light, but we also did some off camera flash to give our couple a bit more of variety.

We love to try out a few different techniques with our couples before their actual wedding day so they can see the differences and let us know what they really love from their photos. We take notes from their preferences so that on their wedding day, we’re doing what they love they love to see!

Kirstyn and Yves bought a few members of the bridal party with them and they cheered them on from behind the scenes. “I Love that Pose!”, “Let me hold that for you.”, “You are WEARING that dress!” and “Oh, Let me fix your hair!” were some of our favorite comments throughout the day because you can tell they were there to really help and support the couple. We really love to see that.

This couple has such a pure, happy and fun kind of love and you not only feel it radiating off of them but off of their family and friends as well. We are so excited to celebrate with them this Friday as they make their union official! We also cant wait to share their photos and videos from their special day to help inspire more couples to Love Deeply.
