When we think of summer, our hearts gravitate toward bright colors, fresh finds and love that defies expectations. We teamed up with Riley’s Weddings and Events to create an inspiring yet intimate ceremony and reception for these girls (and our creative wedding vendor team) to celebrate Pride Month. Danielle decorated with vibrant summer florals and light finger foods and seasonal fruit. She rolled out an accent rug with an array of colorful throw pillows for a relaxed bohemian setting. She then decorated a large pallet with chic plates and chargers topped with custom marble slates with our couples names hand-lettered on them. We love the mix of chic and bohemian that was happening here!

The couple hand-chose a mix of traditional and modern wedding gowns to wear from Bella Bridemaids. One gown with classic lace and the other with wrapped tulle with a mermaid flare. Both dresses were perfect for the warm weather and absolutely fitting for the style of this wedding shoot.

They had an intimate ceremony under a hand carved arch by Kevin with Clarksburg Woodworks . The arch stood in a wide open field draped in white tulle. Candles and Florals from Potomac Petals and Plants surrounded each post of the arch.

We were so happy to be a part of this shoot and to represent a same-sex couple on our blog. We hope to do more of this in the future!
