But first, Get to know this Super Mama, Courtney Shorter, Owner and Creative Director of Ryan Morgan Events.

“I’m Courtney, and it is my passion to plan memorable events that bring people together. I’ve always loved parties. Fascinated by all the details in dressing up, dancing, the music, lights, and glamor.
Much like a stylist helps her clients find the best garments to showcase the greatest versions of who they are; I help my clients throw the best party or event to exhibit the very best of what they have to offer.”

More than her amazing work as a planner, she is also an awesome person to get to know as she uses her super powers for good. She gives back to her community by supporting and donating to foundations that help children (like the Maddy Wagon) as well as inspiring local business owners to network and build with each other. When we met her over cotton candy one spring day, she told us the story of how she came about naming her company and bought me (Megan) to tears because of how courageous and beautiful her purpose is. You can read about it on her website, I’m not putting any spoilers here BUT what I will say from getting to know her is that she was one of the women that I have met in the Wedding Industry who has inspired me to pursue my passion full-time and when she contacted us to capture her Baby Shower, I was jumping for joy and couldn’t wait to be there!

One thing we love about Courtney is that she is not afraid of color! Her style is bold, clean and brilliant and it’s a direct reflection if who she is as a person. She knows how to make a venue POP with different hues and shades and when it came to her own Baby Shower, there was no exception. There were action words everywhere drawing guests in. Even the food was popping with color and absolutely delicious! As a Surprise for her guests she had an ice cream cookie food truck come to deliver all the guests some goodies :) She played games with her guests and spent time thanking each one for coming to celebrate with her.

If you’ve ever wondered what a Wedding Planner’s Baby Shower looks like, well everyone is authentically different…but if the planner is anything like our girl here, the Baby Shower represented that mamas feeling of joy and happiness and evoked emotion in everyone who attended. This was truly a celebration that we all felt!
