New Orleans Style Wedding in Baltimore, Maryland | Black Wedding Photographers Megapixels Media

What do you get when you bring an engaged NOLA Gal to Baltimore?

A big warm wedding that feels more like Beyonce’s Homecoming than your typical wedding. Remember these sweethearts, Chelsea and Ricky? Well they got married week and a half after I gave birth and even with that being said, I did not want to miss their big day at the Four Seasons in Baltimore, Maryland. So we asked our associate Justine, if she could come assist us through the day (Thanks Justine!) and we had a ball!

They took advantage of our all-day package that included video (watch their video highlight reel here) and we partied with them until the very end. And even stopped by The Bygone for the after party. The day flowed effortlessly and we credit that partially to the fact that everything took place at the same location.Chelsea and her girls got ready in the presidential suite while the groom prepared in another suite on a different floor. They did a first look near the terrace and then went up a level to the main ballroom to say their vows.

Their ceremony was decorated with big beautiful white flower blossoms and gold uplighting. The room felt like royalty and this couple definitely dressed the part! Chelsea wore a sparkling white and silver gown and Ricky wore a dashing navy blue tux with a black silk lapel and details. After the ceremony they stole away a few uninterrupted moments for just themselves to snack on some hors d'oeuvres while their guests enjoyed cocktail hour. After their moment of solitude, we escorted them downstairs to take formal family photos and shots with the wedding party before heading back up stairs for bride and groom portraits.

We finished just in time for them to make their big entrance at the reception. The Four Seasons had flipped the ceremony room to become the reception hall and it was glorious! An array of round and rectangle tables with large centerpieces and menus for each guest. Everyone was so excited for this couple that people were on the dance floor before it was even time to dance! They ate, Toasts were said and the Dancing finally began! They had one last surprise for the guests… a SECOND LINE! Second line is a tradition in brass band parades in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. So you see, we had a delicious taste of New Orleans right here in Baltimore and it was awesome!

Sorry this is such a long blog but we really wanted you all to know what you were seeing and to possibly inspire you!

Love Deeply,

Megan + Garrett
