How to Rock an Edgy Engagement Session | Ellicott City Wedding Photographer
Every now and then, we have couples who want to take an edgy approach to their engagement session. Our most recent couple who displayed this kind of style was James and Ike. Here are 5 things that they did to Rock their Engagement Session that you can do too!
Bold Red Lipstick
Ike took a bold and beautiful approach to her lip choice this day. Fire Engine Red around that dazzling smile had James infatuated and it shows all through the photos!
2. Custom Leather Jacket
Ike wore a custom hand-lettered leather Jacket created by Signs of Our Lives. This black Leather Jacket read “Til Death Do Us Part” with floral accents and was Absolutely perfect for this couple’s edgy engagement session! Alex of Signs of Our Lives puts great care into every gift she designs for Brides.
3. Up-Do Hair Style
Ike put her natural hair into a Rockabilly style and added a black and white polka-dotted thick knotted head band to bring just the right attention to her crown. Her stylish, textured hair look really accents her very smooth and chic outfit choice.
4. Bad Ass Decor
James and Ike used colorful Balloon Decor by Jess Albins Events to add a splash of color throughout their engagement photos. Jess Albins specializes in creative designs for couples who wish to have an epic occasion to go down in history!
5. Cool Location
Last (but certainly not least) tip for rocking your engagement session is to have a bomb ass location. This couple took advantage of Main Street Ballroom’s Open House Event. This Ballroom was the perfect environment for their edgy, chic and avant-garde engagement session. The strong stone and sleek wood accents within the venue made the perfect backdrop for the inside portion of their winter engagement session. Nestled in the heart of Old Ellicott City, MSB also has beautiful outdoor scenery for Brides and Grooms.
