Personal Travel Blog: What to Eat in NEW ORLEANS
We did a quick trip to NOLA earlier this year and being the enthusiastic Foodies that we are, we made a list of all the places we wanted to eat while we were there. Needless to say, we didn’t have enough time to indulge in each one of these eateries but hey, since we spent soooo much time constructing a list we though that we would share it with you!
If you haven’t been yet, New Orleans is a hauntingly beautiful city rich with creole culture, African-American art, zydeco music and the most delicious Cajun food we’ve ever had. For all of these factors, we’re marking New Orleans as one of the most romantic cities in America because every night out on the town in this city could possibly be the Best Date Night Ever! Mulate's the Original Cajun Restaurant: Cajun fare and live zydeco music in a rustic, wood-beamed space flanked by a dance floor & full bar. WE HAD FRIED ALLIGATOR HERE!

Domilise's Restaurant: Local institution with massive po' boys & beer in a no-nonsense counter-serve space since 1924.
Hansen’s Sno Bliz: Family-owned sno-ball stand mainstay since 1939 that's famous for soft shaved ice & homemade syrups. Sydnee says these are the best! (especially the one on plum st.)

Red Fish Grill : Seafood & Cajun favorites including oysters in a funky & lively kid-friendly space. Has good BBQ Oysters.
Peche: Seafood from a coal grill & raw bar, plus local brews, are found in rustic digs with weathered wood.
Carousel Bar in hotel Monteleone: Has a rotating bar that’s supposedly really cool… Seaworthy: Locally sourced oysters & seafood are paired with cocktails & wine in a stylish Creole cottage.
