Laura and Darnell's Wedding | Eubie Blake Cultural Center
Remember that charming couple who met at Starbucks? Well, they jumped the broom and they are now newlyweds!
Laura and Darnell celebrated their union at The Eubie Blake Cultural Center on a sunny spring day. Love, Spirit and Culture is what the venue was built upon which made it the perfect venue for this couples wedding because it personified their relationship. Stunning African-American art decorated the walls throughout the venue and served as unique backdrops for this couple’s love story. The ceremony took place right outside in front of a mural of the lady who sung blue, Billie Holiday.
After the ceremony, guests made their way inside to enjoy cocktail hour while the bridal party went to Saint Mary's Park for formal photos.
When we returned, Laura and Darnell were introduced to their guests as Mr. & Mrs. Henson and the party really took off! Tearful speeches, plenty of dancing (including a very well orchestrated Tango) and bubbly toasts charmed the night away.
At sunset, Garrett suggested to the couple to climb up to the rooftop to take some literally breathtaking wedding portraits overlooking Baltimore City. This was one of our impromptu, spur-of-the-moment wedding day creations that turned out to be "Pretty Awesome".
Laura and Darnell, Thank you again so much for inviting us to be a part of your special day and thank you to the family for treating us like one of your own. Wishing you all many years of happiness together.
